Bjørn Olav Knutsen

Bjørn Olav Knutsen is Chief Researcher at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) and Associate Professor at the Nord University Bodø. Bjørn Olav Knutsen is a political scientist that was educated at the University of Oslo. He has worked at FFI since 1993 and contributed to a number of research projects at the institute. His professional field of interest is European and transatlantic security policy and he has published a number of contributions in books, reports and professional journals within the field. Today, he is associated with the Communications Unit at FFI and is also responsible for competence for the security policy environment at FFI. Knutsen has had guest research stays at the EUISS in Paris, at the Norwegian Nobel Institute and at the Freie Univärsität in Berlin. At the Nord University Bodø he teaches security policy and European integration.
