Lukas Spielberger

Dr. Lukas Spielberger is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Lukas has previously worked as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the University of Luxembourg. He holds a PhD cum laude in European Politics from Leiden University and Master’s degrees from the College of Europe, Bruges, and the London School of Economics.

Lukas conducts research in the fields of European and International Political Economy. He has recently worked on EU financial instruments and international central bank cooperation. At the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) he works on the ERC Sinatra project, where he studies the EU’s strategic autonomy in matters of international finance.
