Piero Barlucchi

Piero Barlucchi is a Project Officer in the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna and complemented his studies with internships at CSDS, the Centre for the Study of Democracy in Bulgaria and the association Consoles; moreover, he contributed to the works of the student association Hikma and the NGO Mani Tese. Piero has published with IAI Commentaries, the European Policy Review and Opinio Juris. Lastly, his interests lie in maritime security, Indo-Pacific dynamics and European security and defence.
