Stephan Klose

Dr. Stephan Klose is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) and the Centre for Migration, Diversity and Justice (CMDJ) of the Brussels School of Governance (BSoG-VUB). He holds a PhD from the VUB, and an MA from Lund University.

Stephan’s research interests include EU foreign policy, EU-Asia relations and transatlantic relations, as well as the prevention and countering of violent extremism (PCVE). At CSDS, he works within the framework of the European Research Council Project Sino-American Competition and European Strategic Autonomy (SINATRA). 

At the VUB, Stephan teaches the following courses (2025-2026): “Geopolitics”, “Comparative Regionalism”, “MA Thesis Preparatory Seminar”, “MA Thesis I”, “MA Thesis II”.
