This CODE Explains note aims to highlight two aspects regarding progress in the quantum industry. First, it outlines in what ways the quantum revolution depends on synergies and parallels with classical and AI computation. Second, it argues that, as in the case of AI, if Europe wants to lead in this field, it must encourage industrial applications.
