Mina Pollmann

Dr. Mina Pollmann is a Senior Associate Researcher at CSDS and a Japan Research Fellow with the Leiden Asia Centre focused on Japan’s diplomacy, the US-Japan alliance, alliance politics and Indo-Pacific security. She regularly writes for The Diplomat. Previously, she was a Presidential Management Fellow with the US Department of State’s Office of Japanese Affairs, Associate Political Scientist with the RAND Corporation and News Producer with the Washington Bureau of TV Tokyo. She has also held visiting research appointments with the Harvard Kennedy School and University of Tokyo. She holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from MIT, and a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
