Laura Vansina

Dr. Laura Vansina is an Associate Researcher at CSDS. She specialises in Russia and Eastern Europe, hybrid warfare and memory politics. Dr. Vansina currently works as a counsellor at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to NATO, where she covers issues related to NATO’s Eastern and Northern flank, and to arms control, disarmament and non-proliferation. She previously completed a PhD at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and University of Warwick. Her project focused on the instrumentalisation of historical narratives in Russia’s policy making discourse. She is currently in the process of publishing her thesis. Dr. Vansina holds and MA in History and an MSc in Policy Economics from KU Leuven.
