Mahima Duggal

Mahima Duggal is a Doctoral Researcher at the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA) in Hamburg and an Associated Fellow at the Institute for Security and Development Policy (ISDP) in Stockholm. She was an Associate Fellow at the Centre for Air Power Studies, a think tank affiliated with the Indian Air Force, in New Delhi. Mahima was a visiting researcher at Centre de recherches internationals (CERI) at Sciences Po Paris in 2025; fellow of the Asia Pacific Leadership Program at East West Centre in Hawaii and a Pacific Forum Young Leader in 2024; an Emerging Leader Fellow at the National Unification Institute of South Korea in 2022; and a fellow of Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Centre for Security Studies (DKI-APCSS) in 2021. Mahima holds an MA in International Security from the University of Warwick. Her research interests include the EU’s actorness in the Indo-Pacific, Indo-Pacific geopolitics and Indian foreign policy.
