Denis Cenusa is a non-resident Associate Expert at the Geopolitical Security Studies Centre (Lithuania) and the Centre for European Policy Analysis (US). His research focuses on Russian hybrid warfare strategies, EU enlargement in the post-Soviet space and critical infrastructure security under geopolitical stress.

He has training in strategic foresight, STRATCOM and crisis management from LSE, the Swedish Defence University and the Brussels School of Governance. He has provided scenario-building consultancy on the Black Sea region and Eurasia, covering conflict management, domestic reforms and security governance, for public, private and civil society actors.

Cenusa is currently developing a book project that builds on his doctoral research into EU governance and Russian hybrid warfare and their implications for energy security in Eastern Europe.

In recent years, he has designed and taught a course on Russian “Power Politics through Hybrid Warfare” at JLU Gießen and has delivered guest lectures for the Foreign Service Institute of the US Department of State. His analysis has been featured by DW Español, CNN, ABC Australia, BBC Radio and other international media.
