Lt. Gen. S. Clinton Hinote is a professor of policy analysis at the RAND School of Public Policy. He previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategy, Integration and Requirements at the Headquarters of the United States Air Force. In this role, he was the senior Air Force leader responsible for developing Air Force strategy and concepts, conducting strategic assessments of the operating environment through wargames and workshops, shaping an integrated future force design, and ensuring the timely and effective delivery of operational capabilities required for tomorrow’s Air Force to fight and win.
