Paola Lo Bue Oddo

Paola Lo Bue Oddo is a PhD researcher at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy, and Strategy (CSDS), Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Paola is also a Legal Officer at DG DEFIS, European Commission. Before becoming an EU official, Paola worked as a law researcher and assistant professor in academia. Paola co-authored numerous law publications, a book on counter-terrorism and university courses on security studies. Paola obtained her MA Degree in Law at the University of Bologna, a MA Degree in International Relations at the University of Milan and a Masters in Diplomacy at the Italian Institute for International Political Studies. As an EU official, Paola works on innovation, security and defence topics at the European Commission. She has also worked at NATO and its Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre.
