Silvia Santos

Silvia Santos is Management and Administrative Assistant at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) at the VUB. Silvia holds a Master’s degree in Communications from the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca in Spain, complemented by an Erasmus scholarship in Media & Communication at Leicester University in the United Kingdom. She expanded her academic background in Belgium with a diploma in European Studies from the Institute of European Studies of the Catholic University of Louvain and the European Desk of the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce. Originally from Spain, Silvia began her career in Germany as an Editorial Assistant at the Dresden University of Technology. Over the past two decades she has gained extensive international experience through various roles at multinational organisations headquartered in Belgium in the areas of marketing communications, event coordination, strategic planning and administration. Silvia also holds a position at the Elcano Royal Institute’s Brussels office. She is in charge of managing the daily operations, provide administrative support and assist with the office’s activities.
