Jonata Anicetti

Jonata Anicetti is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS), a Non-Resident Fellow at the Liechtenstein Institute on Self-Determination (LISD) at Princeton University, an External Fellow at the Center for Security Studies at Metropolitan University Prague (MUP) and the Head of Research at Countertrade & Offset, a publication for defence professionals. He holds a PhD in International Relations from the European University Institute (2022).

His research focuses on arms collaboration, defence countertrade and offsets, the arms trade involving China and Russia, Italy’s foreign and defence policy and EU strategic autonomy, with a recent emphasis on critical raw materials. His academic work has been published in leading journals such as Defence and Peace Economics, International Studies Review, The Journal of Strategic Studies, Policy Studies, RUSI Journal, and Defense & Security Analysis. His book, Defence Offsets and the Global Arms Trade: Explaining Cross-National Variations, was published by Routledge in 2024.
