Are you a Japanese student with a passion for global learning? Take this unique opportunity to broaden your horizons, deepen your knowledge and help us build bridges between Japan and Europe! The Japan Chair at the Centre for Security, Diplomacy and Strategy (CSDS) promotes political and security cooperation between Japan and Europe, focusing specifically on the EU and NATO. Now, we are offering scholarships to Japanese students to study on the Brussels School of Governance’s BA and MA programmes, in order to promote educational ties with Japan.
Scholarship Details
– For the academic years 2025-2026 and for academic year 2026-2027.
– Limited to four recipients in each academic year.
– Application Deadline: 15 April 2025 for the academic year 2025-2026.
Each recipient will receive at least 50% tuition reduction for the time span of 1 to 3 years (according to the minimum time necessary to complete the degree) to pursue their dreams of studying in Europe.
Eligibility: Excellent academic performance, a passion for international exchange, and a commitment to strengthening ties between Japan and Europe. Language requirements can be found here.
How to Apply
Please follow all the regular application processes for Brussels School of Governance-Vesalius College programmes, but add the following element in your letter of motivation, which should be between 400 and 600 words: how studying at the Brussels School of Governance will contribute to your personal growth and enhance Japan-Europe relations.
Short-listed candidates for the scholarship may be requested to participate in a short online interview in April 2025. Here is the information on all of the eligible programmes:
