The KF-VUB Korea Chair at the CSDS, Brussels School of Governance, held the 2021 Korea-Europe Policy Dialogue in Brussels on 4-5 November, jointly organised with the Sejong Institute. We were pleased to host experts from Korea and across Europe, including the Sejong Insitute President Lee Sang Hyun, the Sejong Institute Vice President Lee Myon Woo, EEAS Head of Division for Asia and Pacific Reinhold Brender, KF-VUB Korea Chair Ramon Pacheco Pardo, former European Union Ambassador to South Korea Michael Reiterer and NATO Staff Officer for Global Partnerships Sophie Larder. Discussions were on nuclear (non-)proliferation on the Korean Peninsula, U.S.-China strategic competition, Korea and Europe’s cooperation for world peace, and cybersecurity. South Korea Ambassador to the European Union H.E. Yoon Soongu and European Union Ambassador to South Korea H.E. Maria Castillo gave opening speeches. The event was generously sponsored by the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
